Hosted at the iconic Caulfield Racecourse the Caulfield Cup runs in October, right in the middle os the world famous spring racing carnival.

Horses are pushed over a gruelling 2400m test always run on a hot pace and quality is the only option.

A prize pool of $2.5 million is on offer with the winner enjoying the spoils of one of the biggest 2400m handicap races held anywhere in the world, while the Melbourne Cup 2014 is the richest handicap race in the world offering $6.2 million in prize money.
